Scholar Fund is excited to announce the premiere of JOURNEY ABROAD: AN UNDOCU STORY! Showings will be held at the Centilia Cultural Center on October 25 at 6:00 PM and at Northwest African American Museum on October 26 at 11:00 AM. Follow our Cultural Leadership Fellowship (CLF) on a life-changing adventure to Japan—where 15 DACA recipients, led by program co-founder Alejandra Pérez, discover healing and connection together.

As one of the fellows, filmmaker Erick Arredondo captures the emotional depth and personal growth experienced by the participants. Through powerful storytelling and stunning visuals, JOURNEY ABROAD: AN UNDOCU STORY reflects the resilience, joy, and dreams of undocumented community leaders who, despite legal and societal barriers, are able to explore the world beyond the borders of the United States.

By the end of Fall 2024, CLF will have guided 255 DACA recipients throughout the world to Guatemala, South Korea, Brazil, Portugal, South Africa, and more. Experience the impact this opportunity has had on DACA recipients and their communities!

Your ticket includes a reception with refreshments! After the film screening, there will be a panel discussion with fellows, moderated by CLF co-founder Yuriana Garcia Tellez. We’ll wrap up with a celebration!
